Ackee & Codfish is more popularly known as Jamaica’s national dish. The ackee fruit originated from West Africa and was thought to be imported to the Caribbean in the mid-1700s. Well it is, especially when paired with stewed salted cod fish, vegetables, herbs and served up for breakfast alongside some bacon.
